Though in the political front, 15th of August is only a one day commemoration but fashion and glamour world is already in the mood of celebrating the Independence Day. Recently, the capital witnessed the presence of all the fashionistas at the well known party destination, Manre where Bridal Asia along with veteran designer Abha Dalmia and jewellery designer Payal Gupta depicted the importance of the tri-colour in an Indian wedding. Totally in sync with the celebration was the environment which was drenched in the colours of our national flag. In order to add more traditional touch to the ambience, the venue was decorated with nice tri-colored kites, marigolds, leaves and fabrics. Seen visibly excited, Divya Gurwara of Bridal Asia was a perfect host to all the high profiled guests who joined the merriment. "With this theme, we wanted to express that being traditional with Independence Day can also be very fashionable. Orange and saffron are considered as the auspicious colours in any Indian wedding," Divya Gurwara continued, "white is the shade of light, truth and peace and is present in every color, while green is the colour of the heena and also the colour of life." Presenting her new collection – Jahanara – the jewellery designer Payal Gupta was quite elated to complete her three year association with Bridal Asia. "I have been exhibiting in Bridal Asia from past three years, and with this new theme, we thought to give a twist and launch it before the Independence Day instead of unveiling it before Diwali."
The aim of this gathering and celebration was to highlight the colour and tradition of India by showcasing the hues of freedom. While the collection showcased by Payal was in tune with the theme of the festival that was adorned with corals, emeralds and pearls. On the other hand the saree collection by Abha Dalmia concentrated on the intricate Benarasi weaves which is very much in trend. "Since I always believe in women's independence, with this theme I wanted to uplift the women of the weavers who have done this beautiful and delicate work on these elegant sarees," said Abha Dalmia. The gorgeous and classic ladies who were seen flaunting sarees by Abha Dalmia and jewellery of Payal Gupta were Neeva Jain, Kalyani Chawla, Ramola Bachhan, Divya Gurwara, Vinita Jain, Bindiya Jain, Sharmila Dalmia and Alpana Gujral. Others who joined the party include Sweetie Burman, Tanisha Mohan, Shabnam Singhal, Supriya Nihal Singh, Subhalaxmi Khan and many more. "When all the laces are undone, when all the petticoats have fallen, the woman is dressed only in her perfume." Well said! The sour orange skin sweetened by rose with white musk and cider frizzy background may lead you towards this sensual feel. Yes! A year after the launch of the first Ma Damescent, comes Jean Paul Gaultier's latest fragrance creation; the fresh pink Rose 'N' Roll.In honour of Ma Dame's first anniversary, the designer will also launch two new limited edition collector fragrance bottles under the name Rose N Roll (keeping the Ma Dame Juice unchanged), one in 75 ml Eau de Toilette and another in 50 ml. The case is created with excesses. The bottle features ironic and balanced graphics, recalling the posters of rock concerts. The amalgamation of elegant black and aggressive fluorescent pink with white's purity is just astounding. The so called 'cool' perfume inspired its own record. The perfume is sufficient to allure your senses with a fresh and slightly malicious feel. Working with DJ Martin Solveig and Canadian band Dragonette, Gaultier paid homage to Rose 'N' Roll's feminine yet edgy blend of orange, rose petal, grenadine, musk and cedar with a music and video project, shot at his Maison De Couture in Paris and entitled Boys and Girls. For the celebration of the Ma Dame, Gaultier Maison de Couture has collaborated with a yet to be revealed artist. It's pumping the volume, shaking any tails, and shrouding itself in mystery. The new Jean Paul Gaultier campaign kicked off with a teasing phase broadcast all over the Internet and on the official website 'madame.com'. This continued mystery raised the curiosity and managed a huge traffic for the website. If you wish to pamper yourself in this seductive fragrance, find it at Debenhams.
