"Fashion is about change and for me the philosophy is always the same so I have always had a clear design philosophy and point of view about being modern, sophisticated, clean and minimal. They all apply to my design aesthetic. Visions of nominal designs and wearable urban styles are one of the main aspects of my collection." This is what Zubair has to say when we asked him about his design philophy for the upcoming India men's week. Zubair Kirmai a very talented designer from Kashmir is all set to burn the ramp with his SS'10 collection at India men's week. The label primarily focuses on inimitable signature style that fuses together both contemporary minimalism and classic heritage from his roots. The importance of crafted detailing is rediscovered in his avant-garde collection, which keeps improving upon rather than making rash changes every season.
"We always had been on one segment of the fashion but now with this new approach will give men also a chance to select amongst the best. Apart from restricting myself by giving any name to it, I have tried giving men's wear some stylish touches with my collection without being overtly choosy" said Zubair. The collection consist of Nehru collar achkans, contemporary jackets, t-shirts, shorts, satin/silk trousers, graphic trousers( satin silk) that had been deeply influenced by fine detailing reminiscent of royalty and utmost luxury. Crisp cotton, lots of textured fabrics, a subtle muted colour card with a sharply constructed line consist everything in his designs. The palest of black, grey, blue and purple along with white were the tones that Zubair worked with for jackets with one or two vents which were very closely cut to the body and teamed with skinny pants. The jacket openings varied from one, two and three buttons closure.
An interesting pleated silk jacket, a cobalt blue Tee teamed with shorts and a grey/white/black shaded jacket with slim trousers will make good additions in the male wardrobe for the coming season. Apart from jackets one can also see sherwani bandgal as with intrinsic embroidery which gives that elegant look to the entire wardrobe. As far as looks of the models are concerned, it will be more of a translucent sheet with very glam and understated tone. Overall very modern, classic must say. The target buyers are all those people who want to add glamour in their personality without much over do's. If you want get more you can click Fashion Week and find something details.
