The third day of Future Fashion Tips House India Brand Show witnessed a surfeit of formal suits from brands such as Van Heusen, Belmonte, Trussardi and Indigo Nation. The fete kickstarted with a range of shoes by. The models, sporting severe black ensembles, strode down the runway in a black and white collection of brogues, loafers and oxfords. There was an unrelenting emphasis on sharp tailoring, giving the showing we-mean-business toughness. The visual cues for collection were loud graphics. Their seditious spirit underlined the theme that graphics are now perversely to be found in the most classic clothes, because "everything else has been done". Fashion Bulletin that explained why the collection placed the emphasis squarely on classic tailoring in subtly twisted tasteful tones. The opening sequence—shirts thrown casually over t-shirts—read like a manifesto, compounded later by a striped t-shirt worn over a round neck shirt, Bermudas, and floaters. Sneakers came pre-scuffed, and even the layered look was clumsily pressed and worn to rough up its polished perfection. But Dockers seems congenitally incapable of playing it straight. Allen Solly womenswear sought inspiration from 'a traveller's myriad moods and featured shorts, slim pants, cropped tops, and knee-length flared skirts. Inspired by the technology used by urban dweller that makes up Allen Solly’s target audience, Luxury Fashion Accessories collection also featured sleeveless contrast collar tees and summer shirts with satin inserts. Also of note: the layered look, hats, and brooches.
