Fiat has come out with another master piece from its factory of style. Fiat India Automobiles Ltd has unveiled its latest offering – the Grande Punto – in the premium hatchback segment. Low slung compact body, strong muscular wheel arches, dual-tone dashboard and interiors, exudes power and strength. Inspired by the Maserati in its styling, the credit for the designing of the car goes to Giorgetto Giugiaro who believes that the Grande Punto is surely going to make a style statement. The Grande Punto can be best described as "an unconventional hatchback that personifies boldness". The car is loaded with features and will be available in three versions known as Active, Dynamic and Emotion for both the petrol and diesel variants.

The Grande Punto is really a great car. Already made its name outside India, the company has sold more than 1.6 million modals of Grande Punto in Europe. In Brazil Fiat is the number one selling brand when it comes to cars. Recession has nothing to do with a launch of a model, all manufacturers are doing it. Moreover launching the new model was pre-planned around 18 months in advance. We are happy to launch this car in India," shared Marius D'lima, Corporate Communications-head of Fiat India Automobiles Ltd.

The special attraction of the evening was the daring gymnastics which managed to grab the attention of the spectators present in the event. From inspiring dual-tone interiors to attract the attention to body hugging seats, the hatch has every detail that spells flair and comfort. The rear end is softer and rounder, which balances the aggressive front end. To grab the attention, the machine is available in variety of colours and tones namely, exotic red, minimal grey, medium grey, electric blue, Bosso Nova white and last but not the least Hip Hop black.

Speaking on the occasion Rajeev Kapoor, CEO, Fiat India Automobiles Ltd said, "The launch of the Grande Punto marks a new milestone for Fiat in India as we bring the characteristically Italian design to Indian shores. Luxury Fashion jewellery, the car targets those who love hatchbacks and yet want the luxury of a sedan.

Driven by technology, the state-of-the-art FIRE (Fully Integrated Robotized Engine) and Multi-Jet engines combine to offer superb performance with low fuel consumption. The Grande Punto will be available in the country with two petrol engines (1.2 and 1.4 FIRE) and one diesel (1.3 multijet)
